We have gorgeous roads, un-crowded trails, and amazing loops to ride, train, and have fun - whether you are road biking or mountain biking. The Northeast Kingdom of Vermont offers breathtaking scenery, great rides, and miles of adventure. We have it all here at The Avalon Inn and Spa - whether you are looking for a day of fun on the Kingdom Trails - a trail system that offers over 100 miles of single track, double track, and lots of wicked black diamond trails or a family outing of easy to moderate trails. What are you waiting for? From expert to novice --- Even if you are a beginner we have something for you and your entire family. We are located in the heart of the Northeast Kingdom and minutes away from the Kingdom Trails. We are in a great location for your biking adventure in Vermont. We also love biking groups and can offer the entire inn to your group for a weekend, week, or month. After a long day on the trails why not come back and relax in our hot tub, take a yoga class to stretch out your muscles, or have a Swedish massage? Vermont Mountain Biking Trail Guide St. Johnsbury, Newport, Danville, Hardwick, Island Pond, Barton, East Burke, Derby... Northeast Kingdom Vermont Area Bicycle Routes: Northeast Kingdom Loop, West Charleston, VT - 33 Mile Loop - Moderate Rating This quiet road biking trip through Vermont's sparsely settled areas begins on SRs 5A & 105 heading to Derby Center where it continues on for 5.5 miles, traveling onto US Route 5 North all the way to Derby Line - a convenient place to cross the border into Canada. The tour bears right onto Holland Road 0.5 miles past the elementary school and continues to the Town of Morgan Center, where it turns right onto SR 111 and travels four miles before turning South at the second intersection onto an unmarked road, which returns to the starting point.
